5 Tips We Learned from Other Staffing Professionals (2022 Edition)
Recently, our team members joined 400+ other individuals in the staffing industry in Dallas, TX to attend the Sanford Rose Associates (SRA) annual conference. The conference was teeming with positive energy and our staff came away with so many tips to implement into our own processes at Top Talent.
Going from good to GREAT takes commitment. The question you need to ask yourself is: “Are you willing to make the commitment to be great?”
There are some people who believe that being an entrepreneur means you have to be involved in two or three businesses that generate revenue at one given time.
Duties: Develop and manage a customer base, dive deeper with current customers, prospect for new customers, present and negotiate rates, remotely report to the Sales Manager
Ideal Profile: Expertise in selling, negotiating, closing, and managing customers, 1+ years of sales experience in Logistics, working knowledge of Truckload and Refrigerated freight, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, able to work well remotely
Duties: Manage & lead 250 employees, oversee and maintain a dedicated fleet of 200+ Dry Van trucks, develop strategies, set objectives, and devise budgets, travel 25-30% of the time as needed
Ideal Profile: Expertise in Dedicated Contract Operations, 3+ years of management experience, 6+ years of freight brokerage experience, exposure to Flatbed, Dry Van, Over-Dimensional, and most modes of transport, previous experience in leadership with a 250+ truck operation, able to travel 25-30% of the time
Duties: Contact carriers and negotiate rates, ensure loads are picked up and delivered on time, build relationships with carriers and develop a carrier base, communicate with customers throughout the load’s transit, enter load details into TMS
Ideal Profile: Expertise in Sales, 1+ years of experience working in a sales + commission role, College degree is preferred, able to thrive in a team environment, able to work on-site in Chicago
